  • Professional Goal: to increase students’ problem solving and critical thinking skills while developing ownership and teamwork master, while increasing self-esteem and confidence.

  • Seeking a role to inspire the next generation of scientists and engineers. Integration of technology and personalized learning is a cornerstone of my educational philosophy. Gamification of education is also a passion that I have integrated into my teaching with a high rate of success.     • Designed and implemented an interdisciplinary Lego WeDo Robotics Unit with Kindergarten. It included LEGO sight word and math lessons, focused reading and dance activities, as well as actual SCRATCH programming and building of the WeDo Robots.

    • Designed and implemented a Forensics Unit for 5th grade.

    • Piloted and helped redesign the STEM1080 elementary curriculum with 4th grade and Kindergarten.

    • Tutored grades 3-4 in Math, and 5th grade in Science topics in support of their regular education teachers.

    • Helped produce and present several STEAM based plays that included grades K-8. This included learning acting parts, songs, Backdrop and costume design.

  • Arts & Science Counsel STEAM Intercession Camp Lead Instructor – 8th grade

    • Created an Interdisciplinary Unit of Instruction based on the Harry Potter series, “The Chemistry of Harry Potter”. (link included on LinkedIn profile)

  • Facilitator for 6th-8th science instruction and 6th grade math instruction.

    • Modeled hands-on learning activities, provided resources to make existing lessons more engaging, and provided feedback on teaching.

    • Designed and Implemented an 8th grade Science Unit for long term substitute. It included personalized learning, Labs taught once a week by myself, and an interdisciplinary project.

    • Lead, designed, and implement a Personalized Blended learning program to grow the 6th grade math students (4 teacher small group blended instruction, with Game-based learning stations including in their rotation)

  • Designed and implemented a Robotics and computer programming curriculum for 6-8 students. This was co-taught with the Drama teacher and incorporated the creation of small skits and challenges using her drama curriculum.
